Terms of Use

Acceptance

By downloading, installing or using TextDocket, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What TextDocket is

TextDocket is a Mac app that formats the text messages on your Mac into a PDF and a folder of supporting files. It is a formatting tool. It is not a law firm and does not give legal advice.

License

After a one-time purchase, you receive a license to use TextDocket. You do not own the app itself. The app and its content are protected by copyright, and you may not resell it or use it for another person's commercial purposes.

You are responsible for your exports

Courts decide evidence

Whether any export is accepted as evidence is decided by the court or other decision-maker in your case. We do not promise that any export will be accepted, and we do not certify the content of your messages. Court rules differ by place and by judge. Ask a lawyer in your area before you rely on an export.

Accuracy

An export shows what the Messages database on your Mac contained when it was read. Messages deleted or unsent before the export may not be included. Review each export against the original messages before you use it, and verify the output against the official documentation at textdocket.app/support.

Purchases

The app and in-app purchases are sold through the Mac App Store. Apple handles payment and refunds.

No warranty and limit of liability

TextDocket is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app or its exports, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app.

Privacy

See the Privacy Policy. TextDocket processes your messages on your Mac and does not send them to us.
