TextDocket asks me to choose a folder. Which one?
Choose the folder named Messages inside your Library folder. TextDocket opens that location for you, so you usually only need to click Allow. macOS asks once; TextDocket remembers your choice.
Some messages are missing
TextDocket can only export messages that are on this Mac. To bring your iPhone messages to your Mac, turn on Messages in iCloud on your iPhone (Settings › your name › iCloud › Messages) and on your Mac (Messages › Settings › iMessage). Large histories can take a while to download. Then click Reload in TextDocket.
Messages that were deleted before you export are not in the database and cannot be shown.
What does the free version include?
You can preview and export the first 50 messages of any conversation, with a watermark. A one-time purchase unlocks complete exports without the watermark.
